This new house in construction did not provide any connexion between the living room and the backyard due to the difference of level between these two spaces. The clients also wanted to maximise the space offering a deck where they could have a portative BBQ and be able to have a table fo enjoy the view. They also wanted to have a pergola above it to provide some shade with climbing plants.

We designed a stair with large and long steps, offering a wide connexion and provided a dedicated firepit space with in-built seat. Due to the difference of ground level and to optimise levels area, we have sandstone logs retaining wall with plants all around to bring some greenery!
